David Lin is the CEO and founder of PearlMountain Technology Co., Ltd, a dedicated graphics and software development company founded in 2006.
Last year, they started their new app, FotoJet online which is now recognized and loved by numerous users, and it was also recommended by the Google Chrome Store this year. FotoJet has over 200,000 registered users worldwide and is focused on collage making, graphics design, and photo editing.
In this interview, David talks about FotoJet.
Geetesh: David, can you tell us more about FotoJet—what motivated you to create this picture collage and editing site?
David: We are graphics software developer since 2006. We have developed much graphic software for Mac and Windows in the past. And many of our Mac software often get recommended by Mac App Store. So we though it's time to go ahead with online app development with FotoJet. And we believe we will do just as well as we did with Mac software. So here we are.
Geetesh: David, can you provide some ideas of how FotoJet can be used to create picture elements for PowerPoint presentations?
David: You can open FotoJet and select a design template under the Design mode. Then upload your own photos. Customize the design by fixing your images, adding text or clipart, etc. Finally, save and share. We have a visual tutorial on our site.
